'The officinal supply chain in Calabria: an opportunity from the circular economy' webinar was held yesterday in the YouTube channel and the Facebook page of 'Lavorare in Calabria' project.
Moderator of the event was Antonio Andreoli, Business Designer and CEO of lavorareincalabria.it. Speakers were Prof. Giancarlo Statti, Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology at Unical, Eng. Giacomo Martirano, CEO of Naturextralab, Dr. Benito Scazziota, President of the Agricultural Society Terzeria and Dr. Antonio Ricciardi, CEO of RiMa Laboratori.
In this context, Giacomo Martirano illustrated the setting-up of Naturextralab thanks to the Calabria Region support through a grant from the POR CALABRIA FESR 2014-2020 - Action 1.4.1. He also presented the main project results.
The three companies brought their experience in the areas of research applied to nutraceutics, agricultural production, processing of raw materials and industrial production of food supplements. They also highlighted the opportunities provided on one hand by research and innovation in all components of the supply chain, and on the other hand by the implementation of a model of circular economy in support of the natural resources of the Region, based on the cooperation of all actors involved.
